The Book of Job

Seven days like a pariah
Most untouchable from death even
Full of boils and a lost piece of pottery

Like a lizard, the surface was all he got
A refusal to be the object of trade
Between God and Satan

The religion of huckstering went awry
Neither a Sabbath Jew nor an everyday Jew
Neither a criminal nor a sacrificial animal

Like a lizard he stuck to the surface
Even God a passive shadow of the atheist
God confessed his own non-existence

Only in hatred!
Yes in hatred only one can prove to the other
The depth of one’s love!
